Participation in 'Noye's Fludde' by Benjamin Britten

In April 2012 we were invited to take part in a community production of this exciting opera, put on by the The Welsh National Opera at Theatre Hafren, Newtown. It was an incredible experience sitting amongst the weird and wonderful percussion instruments at the rear of the orchestra with approximately 200 local schoolchildren marching and singing their way in and out of the Ark.

We were equally pleased to be approached again in 2013 to participate in the Shrewsbury Community and Schools' Production, this time in Shrewsbury Abbey, to mark the centenary year of Benjammin Britten. Once again, it proved to be an exhilarating experience, bringing together spectacular hi-tech visual presentations of the story with many local schools, dancers and musicians. It was produced by Maggie Love and the musical director was Maureen Powell Davies
